Maxx's Bio

Jan Allan Hilgert (AKA: Maxx Falkongrew up in Ohio and is inspired by the writing of C.S Lewis, Dean Koontz and Steven King. His novels bear the hallmark of a seasoned storyteller—fast passed narrative, gripping suspense and exciting climax. Among his published works is the successful Sci-Fi series, the "Chronicles Of Dalon".

Science Fiction is his best genre, but he also likes to dabble a bit in children's illustrated learning books, novels for teens, and then, there is his cool little short story trilligies, poems, and songs that are another part of his lurid persona.

Jan also has a Film Company that is getting ready to shoot another movie called: GUN FOR HIRE.

Other films He's made include:
THE EVINRUDE DUDE
MISHAP AT INDY
INTERVIEW WITH BRUISE LE
I SHOT THE SHERIFF
ANGELS OF MERCY
TWIN TWISTERS
THE CATS AWAY

Born and raised by Loving parents, Jan
had spent his early years listening to the vivid stories of his Grandfather before he actually began to go on some of his trips with him. He vividly remembers listening to the great stories told by his Native American friends, and family. Ever since his earliest days as a child, he loved story telling.

Jan has Honorably spent his time in the military overseas in Vietnam.  He has seen the makings of life, the loss of friendship, and the destruction of nations.  You can visit his Personal Military site here at:
US Navy Seal.

Jan left Ohio in 1995 to move to Bushnell, Florida where he became a Welding Supervisor designing and building huge multi-million dollar equipment at a shop in Leesburg, Florida. This is where he formed an Entertainment business called: DreamScape International Entertainment, where he and his brother made great Independant Films.

He then enrolled into the Writers Digest School of Writing and studied the art of literature, dialog, and building emotional characters as a student; writing Screenplays of his books for Motion Pictures. However, he could not escape the allure of storytelling and quickly began studying to become a novelist taking on the Pen Name of MAXX FALKON.

Maxx's love of storytelling became uncontrollable. Soon after, an accident at his workplace left him seriously injured and hurting for money, he sold almost everything he had to get enough cash to move to Saint Petersburg, FL in 2000.  Once there, he began typing on an old Word Processor he had was given for free from a Church rummage sale, he never stopped typing.

Not long after, Maxx planted his roots in St. Pete. It was there that Maxx began rewriting his first book that was originally destroyed in a house fire in 1985, and finally, he completed it in 2008. And soon after,  short stories for the Church's Newspaper, and now, he has started a Writers Group in Pinellas County.

His first novel, The Chronicles Of Dalon, is up for publication and several prestigious awards. Since that time, Maxx has penned nearly a half dozen more stories and, is working on the sequel to  Chronicals Of Dalon which will be called: COD2; Return Of The Son. Which should be completed in about January 2011.

Maxx is also working on his first screenplay which is due to be completed early next year; SEARCH FOR TOMORROW which is based on his first Novel; the Chronicles Of Dalon.

"Maxx's love of storytelling is infectious", said one loyal reader, "Once you read one, you have to read all of his books".
